Yes. Every Rello Phone comes with a 12-month manufacturer warranty covering hardware defects under normal household use, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
No technician visits or physical wall jacks needed. Rello connects via Wi-Fi over your home internet connection using secure voice servers. All you need is a standard power outlet and home internet.
Rello connects wirelessly over Wi-Fi so you do not need to worry about being tethered to your internet router. You can place your Rello anywhere in your home—on the kitchen bench, a bedside table, or the living room shelf.
Yes. While the standard Rello Phone device doesn't currently include built-in hearing accessibility tools, we have alternative setups available for users who are hard of hearing. Please contact us at hello@rellophone.com so our team can help evaluate the best option for your needs.
Setup takes under five minutes. Plug Rello into power, open the Rello App on your smartphone to connect to your Wi-Fi network, add your approved contacts, and you are ready to make calls.
Like any internet-connected home phone, Rello requires active electrical power and home Wi-Fi. If your internet or power goes down, the device will not make or receive calls until power and connection are restored.
Rello requires a standard power outlet to operate. If your home's power goes down, the phone will not work until power is restored.
No. Rello is completely distraction-free with zero screens. All account controls, contacts, and settings sit safely inside the password-protected Rello App managed by adults.
No. The Rello Phone connects via Wi-Fi, so there’s no need to run Ethernet cables or keep it near your internet box. Just plug it into any standard power socket — or even a USB power bank — and place it anywhere with Wi-Fi coverage.
The Rello App is available for iOS (iPhone) and Android. You manage everything—contacts, call history, Rello Time, and settings—directly from your own smartphone.
In the Rello App, you add approved contact numbers or join shared Groups (such as school circles, sports teams, or extended family). By default, only approved numbers can call your Rello Phone.
Groups allow members of a shared circle—like a school class, sports club, or extended family—to easily find and connect with everyone in that circle. It is a shared contact hub for easy connection, not a three-way conference call.
Click-to-Dial lets you initiate a call directly from the Rello App on your smartphone to ring your physical Rello Phone at home, making it effortless to get everyone talking with a single tap.
Rello Connect (free plan) includes up to 10 approved contacts. Subscribing to any paid package (Rello Plus, Family, or Dual Line) unlocks unlimited approved contacts.
Rello Time allows you to set custom calling schedules for each device in your home. Outside of your scheduled Rello Time, incoming calls will not ring the physical phone.
You can review the full call history directly in the Rello App on your smartphone at any time to see exactly who called, who your child called, and when.
Yes. If a call is missed or comes through outside of scheduled Rello Time, callers can leave a voicemail. You can listen to and manage recorded voicemails directly inside the Rello App.
By default, any phone number not listed on your approved contacts list is silently blocked before the Rello Phone rings. Scammers and spam callers simply cannot reach your home.
Yes. Multiple adult devices can sign into the same Rello App account to manage contacts, view call history, adjust settings, and initiate calls using the smartphone app.
Yes! The Rello Phone device itself requires zero IT knowledge or smartphone to use once set up. Family members can manage contacts and settings remotely from their own iOS or Android device.
The Rello Phone is a one-time hardware purchase that includes free Australian shipping, plus 5% off when you buy two or more. Your user account automatically comes with our free Rello Connect plan for calling between Rello apps and devices. If you want to check out current phone pricing, head over to our Meet Rello page. For all available account subscription plans and add-ons, visit our Subscriptions page.
No. Rello Connect is 100% free with every device for unlimited Rello-to-Rello calling (calling between Rello phones and the Rello App). Paid subscriptions are only required if you want a dedicated Australian landline number to call external mobiles and landlines.
Not necessarily. Rello-to-Rello calling is always free. With a paid landline subscription, your device gets a dedicated landline number to call any standard mobile or landline.
Rello Plus unlocks a dedicated Australian landline number assigned to 1 Rello Phone, standard AU mobile and landline calls included, and an expanded unlimited approved contacts list.
Landline sharing is a feature that allows multiple Rello Phones in the same household to connect to a single central Australian landline number. Incoming calls ring all connected phones simultaneously, and each device can make outbound calls using that shared number while maintaining its own independent contact whitelist and Rello Time schedule. For example, our Rello Family includes landline sharing for up to 3 devices.
No contracts or exit fees ever. Paid subscriptions run month-to-month. You can cancel or change your plan at any time directly in the Rello App or by emailing hello@rellophone.com.
All plans live at the Account Level. You can manage multiple Rello Phones under one account in the app and easily select a shared package like Rello Family or Rello Dual Line. For more information, visit our Subscriptions page.
We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay securely processed via Shopify Payments.
Yes, dialling 000 connects directly to emergency services and bypasses all whitelist filters whenever active power and home Wi-Fi are connected. We strongly advise maintaining a separate emergency calling method, such as a charged mobile phone, for use during power or network outages. Account holders can also disable emergency dialling for specific Rello Phones in the app to prevent accidental calls by young children.
Emergency services rely on the physical street address registered in your Rello App. If you move your device to a new address, you must update your registered location in the app immediately.
By default, any number not on your approved list is silently blocked before the phone rings at all. Scammers, spam callers, and strangers simply cannot reach the device unless you explicitly add them.
By default, any phone number not on your approved list is silently blocked before the Rello Phone rings. Strangers and spam callers simply cannot reach your home if you choose to keep it strictly closed.
Rello does this automatically. By default, any number not explicitly on your approved contacts list is silently blocked before the phone even rings. Alternatively you can add specific numbers to the blocked list in the app.
Every outgoing call goes through your approved contacts list, so there are no "wrong numbers" to accidentally dial. You can also review the full call history in the Rello App at any time to see exactly who called whom and when.
Yes. We do not sell or trade personal data. We comply strictly with Australian Privacy Principles and telecommunications laws. We never record or listen to the audio content of your voice calls.
Rello is built specifically for safe family connection. With zero screens, zero social media, no browser, and strict contact filtering, children can only reach the people you explicitly approve.
